In the heart of Ocracoke Village, you will see a charming older village home hosting the Dajio Restaurant. Doug and Judy Eifert, experienced, award-winning restaurateurs from Kentucky, are realizing a long-held desire to live on the island of Ocracoke with their purchase of the former Pelican Restaurant.

Dajio, named for "Doug And Judy In Ocracoke," is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All menu items are made from scratch and utilize locally produced ingredients as much as possible. Menu items feature many seafood dishes, a fresh vegetarian entrée each day and special menus for kids and seniors. The outside terrace continues its tradition of Shrimp Hour starting mid-afternoon. You’ll experience fine dining on the screened porch or interior dining room and the warmth of local hospitality when you enter Dajio.

Jason's Restaurant serves traditional and reasonably priced food in a casual dining atmosphere. It is a perfect place to wind down the day in a leisurely way, especially if you sit on the screened in porch or at the bar. Pizza, pasta, subs, sandwiches, salads, steaks, chicken and, of course, fresh seafood are served for lunch and dinner. Mouth-watering homemade desserts, beer and wine for you to enjoy.

Howard's Pub is one of the most well-known restaurants on the eastern coast. Howard's Pub opens 11:00 am for lunch, dinner and late-night dining. Fresh local shrimp, clams, fish and oysters are highlights, but there are also steaks, ribs, subs, burgers, salads, sandwiches and pizza. Kids have their own menu with the meals served on a Frisbee. More than 200 beers, wine and cocktails are served to patrons. Sit indoors or out on the large screened porch.

Jimmy's Seafood Buffet offers crab legs, including Alaskan King, Seattle Dungenese, Florida stone claws and the more familiar Blue crabs. Jimmy's boasts more than 100 items on the buffet, from fish and shrimp to homemade desserts. Jimmy's has a breakfast buffet that starts at 7:00 am. Lunch starts at 11:00 am with sandwiches, burgers, seafood platters and kids meals on a souvenir frisbee. The seafood buffet opens daily at 1:00 pm Jimmy's offers 40 flavors of frozen drinks. New in 2010, the Comedy Club comes to Jimmy's.
